The history behind Wellington Vacuum and Wellington Central Vacuum started in the 1960s out of Brooklyn, NY by Arnold (Arnie) Buckwald. Arnie owned several successful vacuum locations. Then in the early 1970's Arnie's son Robert joined him in the business, making him the second generation of vacuum experts in the family.
In 1989 the family moved to the beautiful city of Wellington where Arnie opened Wellington Vacuum and Wellington Central Vacuum while his son Robert opened Gator Vacuum & Sewing. Arnie was known for having a small mini van which he used for mobile central vacuum and household vacuum repairs. Customers loved him for his personable service that stood out above and beyond his competitors. Arnie has passed since, leaving his son Robert Buckwald, the owner of Gator Vacuum & Sewing to carry on the tradition of Honest, Reliable, and Friendly Service in the city of Wellington and the surrounding areas.

Gator Vacuum was established in 1989 in Coral Springs, FL by Robert Buckwald. Having been born into the vacuum business and taught by his father, Arnold, who owned several high-volume vacuum stores in Brooklyn, NY in the 1960’s, he already had a head start in the industry at a young age.
Gator Started off in a 600 sq. ft. building in 1989, but quickly had to expand.
